I found lots of great inspiration on Pinterest but I just wasn't feeling like any of them were right for this little guy. Even though it is a kid's chair, I didn't want it to look too childish. I wanted it to be something that could fit in seemlessly in any room in someone's house. So I figured if I didn't want it to be childish, maybe I should look for inspiration from some adult chair makeovers. In the end I decided to use my own favorite chair redo as inspiration.
A soft, subtle blue and some serious distressing were in order. Here is how the wee version turned out.
Ahh, I love it. And now I am inspired to make over some of her little friends as well. Which is good because I have to confess I bought two more at yard sales this weekend - they were so cute and only $1. I couldn't resist.
Sharing at some of these great parties.

Very cute!
Love the color and distressing! Cute chair for a child or to use as a little side table for display.
Think red. :-)
SO sweet! I WANT it! I wish I lived closer so I could add it to my little girls birdy room.
I think it looks perfect! :)

Super cute! Love the paint color, so soft!
great job! I Love the subtle color. It's adorable!
I've been inspired! I have a table with six chairs. The chairs are fairly similar to your cute little chair but are all pine. I've been brainstorming on colors and if I even wanted to tackle it.... I think I might now ;)
I really like your chairs! Especially the little ones. I have a collection of miniature (doll sized)chairs that I just love and a lot of 'big peoples' chairs too. You can't have enough chairs:)
It looks lovely. I am in the process of painting two little chairs with shorter legs:)
Love the color--so sweet! Thanks for sharing.
That is one cute wee chair! The chippy look done to perfection
