Sweet seat: the wee version

I figured it was high time I started redoing some of the little kid chairs I've been hording for my booth. I chose this cute antiquey seat to start with.  (Those long, gangly legs make me think of a little foal everytime I see them).  

I found lots of great inspiration on Pinterest but I just wasn't feeling like any of them were right for this little guy. Even though it is a kid's chair, I didn't want it to look too childish. I wanted it to be something that could fit in seemlessly in any room in someone's house. So I figured if I didn't want it to be childish, maybe I should look for inspiration from some adult chair makeovers. In the end I decided to use my own favorite chair redo as inspiration. 

A soft, subtle blue and some serious distressing were in order.  Here is how the wee version turned out.

Ahh, I love it.  And now I am inspired to make over some of her little friends as well.  Which is good because I have to confess I bought two more at yard sales this weekend - they were so cute and only $1.  I couldn't resist.
