The return of joy

Yes, it seemed like this day would never come – but I have actually completed a project!

Aside from my anxiety about my pregnancy, I have had some other real life stuff really bringing me down.  This (along with my pregnancy exhaustion) has really been making the creative projects I usually love seem like just another chore.

I talked a few weeks ago about getting your creativity back. And then started to wonder if it would ever work for me.  But finally, finally I felt inspired to make something.  So I went for it.

Back in February I made a resolution.

Well, March went great but after that … yeah.

Lately, one particular verse from the Bible has really grabbed me.  Psalm 30:5 – Weeping may last for the night, but joy comes in the morning.

joy comes

To me, it is a promise of hope.  No matter what happens or how bad things seem, joy will return one day.  I had pinned this beautiful sign from Inspired by Charm awhile back and knew it was the perfect inspiration for my sign.

This little reminder is definitely going to be hung in my home – I just have to figure out where exactly.

Also, I am guest posting at the fabulous Southern Lovely today – be sure and come check it out.

Hope everyone has a wonderful weekend!

Ahem, may I just say that perhaps the most awesome, creative way to bring God’s word into your home has been your pregnancy The last 15 weeks and that should cover April and May! I can’t think of any thing more awesome nor any thing more creative than God creating that little life within you and His faithfulness to make good on His promises. His word is true and can be trusted and I have to believe that for every waking moment of the last 15 weeks you have been mediating on His word and His promises. Our family has suffered loss through miscarriage, and adoptions. Every lovely child was loved and glorified God for as long as He called us to be in that little life. We have walked where you walk and can tell you that joy does indeed come in the mourning (not a typo). Blessing on you and yours.
