I’ve come to the conclusion that there are two types of people in the world: those who buy and those who DIY. Myself? I’m a hardcore DIYer. Pretty much every single time I see something super cute at a store, I think, “I don’t need to buy that! I can just make it myself!”
And usually I can…but that doesn’t mean I should. I have learned that lots of times when I decide to just make it myself, I have no idea what I am doing and it turns out, well, let’s just say, less than cute. Or it turns out fabulous…but I spent more on the materials and tools to make it than I would have spent just buying the darn thing! Or I spend hours making it and it turns out just as I imagined…but I hated the entire process. With a passion.
Yep, I have learned over and over that DIY is really not always the answer.
And yet I still think I will just make it myself. Every. Single Time. (Yeah, I’m super quick that way).
So I decided to put together this cute little chart to help decide when DIY really is the answer and when I should just suck it up and buy the thing. And I figured it might just come in handy for you too so I am sharing it here.
Because hey, I can’t be the only one with this problem. Right?
And there you have it. Please feel free to Pin on Pinterest and Share on Facebook. Together we can answer the buy or DIY question once and for all!
Love you guys! Thanks for reading.
