MATERIALS

MATERIALS

– 3 1×4 pine boards  – 1x2 pine board – Door casing  – Wood Glue – Paint – Paintbrush – Thick waistband elastic

STEP 1. CUT THE BOARDS

Measure the height and width of your TV. Cut the pine boards for your box to the sizes you measured using a miter saw.

STEP 2. GLUE THE BOARDS Use a nail gun to nail it together to form a box. Make a frame for the front of the tv with the miter saw. Cut your boards at a 45-degree angle just large enough for the screen of the TV to show. Secure with wood glue.

STEP 3. ATTACH THE FRAME TO THE BOX Now it's time to attach the frame to the box with a nail gun. You want to make sure your frame is exactly in the right spot to perfectly frame the TV screen.

STEP 4. FINISH THE BACK OF THE FRAME The final step to building the frame is finishing the back. Because I wanted it as light as possible, I used waistband elastic, one for the top of the TV and one for the bottom. It worked like a charm!

STEP 5. PAINT THE TV FRAME Paint the frame the color of your choice. Slide it into place around your TV and you are done!
