HOW TO REUPHOLSTER CHAIRS: A SIMPLE GUIDE

Reupholstering furniture isn't as hard as it seems. And once you know the basics, you'll find all kinds of great vintage furniture to revive.

Remove the old fabric. Label each piece as you remove it so you know where it goes.

Using an upholstery staple remover to remove the staples saves tons on time.

Use the fabric you removed as a pattern to cut your new fabric.

Attach your new fabric by stapling, using cardboard strips, using tack strips, or using upholstery pins.

Use custom or store-bought trim to cover any visible staples.
