Napoleonic Blue Chalk Paint

I have a simple side table transformation to share today.  I don’t have a before picture but this little table began as a regular wooden end table.

I gave her a few coats of Annie Sloan chalk paint in Napoleonic Blue.  To be honest, when I finished painting, I wasn’t too happy with my paint choice.  This was my first furniture piece using this color and after painting, the whole thing looked very dull and lifeless.

But after some distressing, a new knob, and a coat of clear wax I was completely won over.  The soft sheen of the wax made all the difference.

She looks so at home on my porch, but this lovely little table will be for sale at Olde Salem Mercantile.  Have a great week.

  4. This end table turned out realy lovely. I’m looking for some inspiration of a little dresser I’m going to redo and this colour is a contender. Carrie could you show a close up of the little knob you used here?

  5. Your table is great! I have almost the exact same one, but the wooden feet are fraying so we’re going to have to shorten the legs, sigh. I plan to use Annie Sloan on it, as well, but in grey or white.

Also, following you on Linky now, feel free to return the favor :)
