Welcome to my blog!

This blog is my attempt to share some of the things I love: cozy rooms, beautiful art, interesting junk.  I believe nothing is worthless.  Not people and not most things.  People throw both away far too easily.  Nothing is perfect but if you look a little closer you’ll usually find something pretty amazing.

I love to take something others see as ugly or useless and help it become something beautiful.  I especially love vintage things because they each have so many stories to tell.  When you fill your home with objects with history, every room becomes a library full of beautiful stories.  I love yard sales and thrift stores – partly because I’m terribly cheap, but mostly because that is where I find amazing things that are unique and beautiful and can’t be ordered from the pages of a shiny catalog.

I discovered crafty, decorating blogs around a year ago and have been an avid reader ever since.  This is such a creative, talented community.  I’ve been inspired by so many projects I’ve seen, I decided it was high time I join in and share some of my own projects and ideas.
