I look forward to decorating our Christmas tree every year and I’m especially excited to share this year’s silver and gold Christmas tree. This tree is sparkly and elegant and the simple neutral color scheme would look beautiful in any room.

Last Christmas season I started eyeing the big bay window in our dining room. It seemed like the perfect spot for a Christmas tree. I love the idea of being able to see the Christmas tree and the sparkly lights through the front window.
So this year when King of Christmas offered to send my one of their new Christmas trees to try out, I knew exactly where I wanted to put it. And I immediately knew which tree I wanted too. I’ve been eyeing their 8′ King Noble Fir Flock tree for awhile. It has a beautiful, natural look to it and I couldn’t wait to start decorating it.
I really love the look of the more realistic artificial Christmas trees that have become popular in the last few years. I’ve always had a more classic Christmas tree with a very full, sculpted shape, but I love how natural the more realistic trees look.
They’re not quite as full and along with looking more natural, they also leave a lot more room for ornaments and decorations.
Of course, I chose the flocked version. I 100% see the contradiction here – if I’m going for a more natural looking tree, flocking might seem like an odd choice since it’s clearly never going to snow inside my living room. But I can’t help it. I think flocked Christmas trees are gorgeous and after having a flocked tree for the past ten years, I don’t know if I’ll ever go back to plain green.
(But if you do prefer a natural green tree, this tree does come in a regular non-flocked version as well that also looks quite beautiful).
Honestly, this is the easiest artificial Christmas tree I have ever put together. It comes in three sections plus the stand. To assemble it, you literally just need to put the three sections together and they’re each labeled which makes it easy peasy.
And my favorite part – you don’t have to connect any wires between the sections to get the lights to work. As soon as you put the sections into place, it’s ready to go. I was also pretty impressed with how little I needed to fluff the branches once they were in place. After a bit of minor adjusting, the tree was ready for decorations.
This is the first year I’ve ever had two full size Christmas trees to decorate and I’m pretty excited about the possibilities! I’m planning to put most of the vintage and handmade ornaments we’ve collected over the years on our family tree in the living room which means that I get to decorate this new tree however my heart desires!
I decided I wanted this tree to be beautiful, elegant, and just a bit glam, so I went with a silver, gold, and white theme.
I started with this amazing gold sequined ribbon. Eleven months out of the year I’m not really a glitter and sequins kind of girl, but when Christmas time comes, I’m all about it. I also added some white furry ribbon I’ve used a few times in the past.

I also added several large white poinsettias. This is the first time I’ve ever added flowers to my tree and I really love it.
From there, I added all kinds of gold, silver, and white ornaments in different sizes, textures, and finishes.
And I finished it off with the DIY Christmas star I made last year and a fluffy white blanket wrapped around the base.

I’m loving how pretty and sparkly this tree is! The more natural shape really gives the decorations lots of room to breathe without looking sparse.
And of course, it’s also beautiful with the lights on. This tree has warm white lights that give a really pretty glow.
These lights come with a handful of different preprogrammed settings which is fun. I’m more of a fan of steady, subtle lights but my kids love to make the lights blink. And of course, they love that the lights come with their own remote.
And that’s my silver and gold Christmas tree! I love how pretty it looks – both from inside the house and from the street. Now I’m excited to get started on decorating the rest of the house!
