21 Bathroom Wall Decor Ideas for Creating a Beautiful Bathroom
Easy and affordable bathroom wall decor ideas that will look beautiful in all kinds of bathrooms.
Adding art to your bathroom walls is one of the best things you can do to really make your bathroom feel like a finished space, rather than an afterthought.
Most bathrooms are pretty cold and sterile by nature; they’re full of tile and porcelain and other hard surfaces. Hanging art on the walls can go a long way to warming up the space and making it feel homey.
But figuring out what kind of art to hang in your bathroom can feel like a huge challenge. A lot of the things that I would hang on the walls in other rooms in my house just feel weird hanging in the bathroom.
So what kind of wall decor really works in a bathroom?
First, a lot of bathroom wall decor also serves a functional purpose. Especially if you have a smaller bathroom, you may need to use every possible space for the necessities. But often those necessities can also double as decor.
- Wall shelves – Wall shelves are super popular for bathrooms because they provide functional storage while also providing space to add decor like plants and other small decor.
- Mirrors – Your bathroom mirror is usually front and center, so why not choose a mirror with a bit of style.
- Wall hooks and towel holders – Ok yes, many hooks and towel racks are pretty utilitarian, but I’ve seen some really stylish versions that truly double as decor.
Bathrooms are also a great place to use nontraditional wall decor. Baskets, trays, driftwood, and hanging plants can all add lots of texture and warmth.
Wooden signs are another popular type of bathroom art. Whether you prefer funny bathroom jokes or positive affirmations, there are tons of possibilities.
And finally, framed art also looks beautiful in a bathroom. Just go with your gut as far as what types of art feel most appropriate. I personally love landscapes, coastal scenes, sea creatures, floral art, and abstracts in bathroom. And if you have a large blank wall, there’s no reason you can’t create a gallery wall.
Check out this quick and easy bathroom makeover – I was able to give our main bathroom a whole new look using just paint, accessories, and new wall art.
I’ve gathered together lots of examples of each of these types of bathroom wall art to help you find the perfect inspiration for your own bathroom. And at the end of this post, I’ve also added my personal favorite art prints and signs from Etsy that I think would look amazing in a bathroom.
